Postnatal Yoga is a safe way to get back into shape, find core strength and relaxation. The class supports your recovery after pregnancy and birth. Open to all levels, the focus is on building core strength, rediscovering the pelvic floor and energising the back, shoulders and chest, all in the company of your baby. Postnatal yoga is enjoyable for both mums and babies together or for the mother without her baby.

The class is for mums and babies (6 weeks after birth/8 if c-section – please check that you are healed and ready to go with your GP) until crawling.

About Anja

Anja has had an interest in yoga for twenty years, and been teaching since 2005. She has been fortunate to train in different styles of yoga with a variety of high profile teachers.

Her particular expertise is in Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga. With a great interest in women’s health Anja trained as Doula with acclaimed obstetrician Dr Michel Odent and doula, Liliana Lamis. She enjoys working with women throughout their pregnancy and during their postnatal recovery. She has been blessed to witness the remarkable transformation of women regardless of their previous yoga experience.

Anja’s classes are fun, warm, nurturing, supportive, and creative. She plays particular attention to structure and alignment, encouraging women to feel empowered during this time of transformation.

Anja is the founder of yogaembodied, a Registered Senior Yoga Teacher with The Yoga Alliance UK (their highest accreditation), E-RYT 200® and RPYT with Yoga Alliance US, she has a BSc and PGDip in Ayurveda and is Doula trained.

She has written, co-created and is tutoring YogaLondon’s Pregnancy & Postnatal Teacher Training Course.
